Leave quiet areas alone

LETTER

Re: Proposed log truck route . . . March 29 story.

Mr Shaw needs to pussy-foot around elsewhere. Many of us who live in these areas proposed for a log truck route do so because of the peace and quiet, and have no wish to see more trucks than are currently using these roads.

That may be considered a selfish attitude, but we are not living on state highways.

The roads would never hold up, as can be witnessed by the Nelson Road/Tucker Road sealing.

I for one would contest any such proposal to the bitter end.

Move on Mr Shaw.
