No changing shed planned?

LETTER

Re council comments about a Waikanae Beach plan, with a design “from Waikanae Surf Club to the tennis courts”, March 25 story.

So good to read, but sadly no mention of rebuilding the changing sheds with showers inside and toilets at the end of shed, which the council allowed to be taken down along with the old Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club in the winter months of 2015.

Beach access for the disabled and seating (hope the seating is by the playground too). Great! Not sure about improved lighting — is it to play tennis in the dark? Will there be floodlights to swim in the dark? Maybe I could have my 70th birthday at the beach, under the lights!
