So impressed

LETTER

Recently my husband and I had a week-long holiday in Gisborne. We lived there 52 years ago and have been back every few years since being transferred north.

We are so impressed at the changes to the city in recent years. The walkway and cycle track along the Turanganui River bank to Waikanae Beach and then on to Midway is a great asset. We noted the neatly-mown lawns and cut edges beside the concrete path, and the absence of litter and graffiti. The weather was perfect and the restaurants and cafes were first class.
