Big thank you to Sallies

LETTER

Tairawhiti Civil Defence ran a welfare exercise on Saturday which was very effective in highlighting possible issues and suggesting recommendations for any future event.

This was only possible thanks to the Salvation Army providing not only their Community Centre but also the very capable staff who ensured everything ran smoothly and those of us involved were well nourished.

No exercise would succeed without the volunteers, who we thank profusely for sacrificing such a lovely sunny Saturday to either work or act as displaced people. Once again, a big thanks!
