Signage review, will assess road options

LETTER

Re: Dropout needs new signs, and to be fixed — June 29 letter.

The NZ Transport Agency will review the signage at this site to ensure safe and best practice traffic management is in place.

The hillside near this site is constantly moving, which has an impact on the road’s surface. We regularly monitor the site for movement (which occurs more in winter).

In the next construction season we’ll assess what can be done to repair the road surface. We are also looking at longer term solutions for stabilisation issues on parts of State Highway 35.
