Wishing new candidates a fair chance of being elected

LETTER

It would appear that some new candidates wanting to stand for council are being given a hard time by office staff at Election Services. Their photographs mysteriously disappear despite being handed in, photos that have not been submitted are printed and the candidates stories are being messed up. Election Services are apparently refusing to correct their “mistakes”.

Hearing stories like this makes me wonder if the voting system is rigged.

I wish all the new candidates a fair and ethical chance of being elected. We need a fresh start for Gisborne to move ahead in the right direction for all residents.

Drop the dirty tactics and play fair.
