Hacked off

LETTER

It has been three months since the overhanging tree branches and vegetation were hacked (instead of neatly cut) by the council contractor along Whakaangiangi Road, in Te Araroa, and left in drains. It’s a bloody mess, that it seems our poor whanau and manuhiri will have to look at when they come home for their Christmas holiday.

There is also a half-cut branch, which is hanging down on to the road and partially obstructing traffic going up the road. This must surely be a safety issue.
It would be nice to get this sorted before Christmas.

I suppose you'd consider it unreasonable if you were advised to cut the other half of the hanging branch. This would instantly fix the safety issue.
