The weekly sheep sale at the Matawhero saleyards yesterday was cancelled due to insufficient stock numbers coming forward for it. 

A PGG Wrightson livestock spokesman said that was “pretty normal” for this time of year. 

“Everyone’s lambing, docking and calving. 

“But we anticipate having a sale next Friday.”
