The tenants and owners have moved out and remediation work has begun on the Marina View apartments. When the block of two commercial floors and 23 apartments was built in 2007, it did not meet all the requirements of its building consent. Issues orignally involved weather tightness problems but further investigations unearthed other faults. A protective covering went up this week to ensure work on the multimillion-dollar project can continue in all weather. It has been estimated the project could take two years to complete.
