There’s still time to donate to the annual Jammies 4 June campaign to help keep children warm this winter.

Hundreds of pairs of new pyjamas have been donated so far in the seventh year of the winter drive.

“Schools, early childhood services, businesses and locals have been coming together to show their support for our local initiative, with all donations going to children in need across our community, including the East Coast,” organiser Cassandra Blumfield said.

“It has been so amazing to see fundraising days being held, with many children being able to wear their pyjamas to school for the day. Through these events, children are learning more about our community and the needs of others, which is such an important message to share.

“With the need for warm winter pyjamas and clothing items even higher this year, we are asking for anyone who is able to donate to please show their support.

“Every donation makes a difference, every pair of pyjamas helps a child in need go to bed that little bit warmer.

“We are now accepting donations until May 26. Donations can be dropped off to Blue House Computing, Health 2000, Stihl Shop, The Beauty Depot and Awapuni School during business hours.”

Jammies 4 June is also accepting cash donations which will be used to buy new pairs of pyjamas.
