The garage sale, held in Ormond Road, raised $2080. A regular Life Education Trust fundraiser — Dance For Life Education — has been postponed because of Cyclone Gabrielle. The district’s would-be Gene Kellys, Cyd Charisses and Leslie Carons will have to wait until 2024. But the work of Life Education Trust goes on, says Gisborne-East Coast-Wairoa branch chair Pat Seymour. The Trust’s popular Five Buck a Duck Derby will be held in November.
