A vehicle has crashed into a building in Gisborne this morning.

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on Awapuni Rd, near Commerce Place at Awapuni, police said.

A vehicle has struck a building.

Police were called about 7am and the road is closed between Aerodrome Rd and Pacific St, with diversions in place.

Motorists should please avoid the area, if possible.
