The Tiara Weir-led Chur Ngati overcame a typically gutsy effort by the Spark Plugs to remain unbeaten, 50-34, in game 1 of week 7 of the Gisborne Basketball Association Ladies’ competition at the YMCA last Monday night.

“It’s great that this is a strong competition,” Weir said. “The Spark Plugs
