Letter
Thanks to the wonderful folks of Elgin and Gisborne

OPINION

We want to thank the wonderful folks of Elgin, and Gisborne as a whole, for helping us find our young dog.

Packing for home after a week-long visit from Palmerston North, our pup wandered up the street behind a young child on their bike.

We searched and called for her and were overwhelmed by the offers of help from everyone we met on the streets.

Messages went out on social media and within a few hours, we heard she was at the Elgin shops.

Thank you to the kind people who grabbed her off the busy road and tied her up, and the children who looked after her until we picked her up.

It was nice to experience the kindness of the Elgin locals.

Thanks, Gisborne.
