Buyer sees potential in Gisborne apples: German company plans to upgrade its new fruit property

A foreign interest that sees potential in the future of Gisborne’s apple industry has  purchased 61 hectares of land for an orchard. 

Che Charteris German-owned company Beehive Demetra Ltd bought the property at Lavenham Rd and Judd Rd in Patutahi and McFarlane Rd (Waituhi) for an undisclosed sum from the family trusts that own growing business Judco.
