The coalition Government’s appointments of former National Party leader Simon Bridges to chair NZ Transport Authority Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and former Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett to chair Pharmac appear to be wise choices.
Bridges was appointed NZTA chair in March and Bennett to the Pharmac board a few weeks later in April — five weeks out from the coalition’s first Budget.
