Best of the best in local country music

The Gisborne Country Music Awards at the War Memorial Theatre and the RSA saw local family The Maynards take the crown of overall winners of the awards.

A total of 176 entries were received  for the competition, of contestants from Nelson, Whanganui, Hastings, Auckland, Hamilton , Matamata and Morrinsville, as well as Gisborne.

The club meets on the first and third Sunday of every month, at 1pm, in the Senior Citizens Hall at the river end of Grey Street. Non-members $5 entry, members $3. Afternoon tea provided.
