When adventure peaks: Mountain Film Festival adds at thrills at Dome

“Touching the Intangible”, about three French alpinists dreaming of opening a new extreme climbing route on the legendary south face of Nuptse in the Himalayas, won the grand prize at the NZ Mountain Film Festival.

Gisborne audiences will soon have the chance to see the best adventure films from Aotearoa and the world. 

New Zealand’s only home-grown Mountain Film Festival showcases films about high-octane sports such as skiing, climbing, kayaking and mountain biking. It also features increasingly topical environmental and mountain-culture films to inform and entertain.
