The 18th Wairoa Māori Film Festival - a three-day feast of Māori, Pacific and global Indigenous film and moving image art will be based at Kahungunu Community Marae in Nuhaka, with guests able to stay at the marae or encouraged to find accommodation in nearby Mahia or Morere. There are plans for a big day and night in Wairoa at the recently reopened Gaiety Theatre, and on the Sunday we will host the second annual Mana Wahine high tea celebration, this year with a special international guest delegation. Nau Mai! Nau Mai! Haere Mai! Come to Nuhaka and Wairoa for the original Māori Film Festival, which has been running since 2005. More details coming soon, including the full weekend programme.
