Blissful Buddleias

1 min read

Commonly known as the butterfly bush, Buddleia is a hardy, summer flowering shrub which is very easy to grow.

Buddleias, also spelt buddleja, are small to large shrubs which provide many months of gorgeous honey scented flowers that attract butterflies (hence their common name of ‘butterfly bush’) as well as birds.

How to grow buddleia in your garden

Choose a sunny spot or semi-shaded spot in the garden and prepare the planting area well by digging in Yates Dynamic Lifter Organic Plant Food.

Dig a hole, twice as big as the plant pot, place the plant in the bottom of the hole, backfill gently with soil and water in well.

Mulch with an organic mulch, such as bark chips, woodchips or pea straw and water in well.

Feed each fortnight from spring to autumn with Yates Thrive Natural Roses & Flowers Organic Based Pelletised Plant Food to promote healthy leaf growth and lots of flowers.
