Long-term eyesore

1 min read

With summer fast approaching and with locals out using the walk/cycle way in increasingly larger numbers, more visitors due, along with the start of cruise ship visits, an effort is required to remove the eyesore of standards and orange netting.

This eyesore has been in place for far too long and is a disgrace to the GDC for allowing it to drag on so long — urgent action is required.

In regards to orange netting being around too long . . . the health and safety compliance regulations and lack of common sense from some people is usually the reason for "safety precautions" having to be applied on nearly any location. People will be quick to blame someone else if an accident or incident should occur. That is what the "GDC Fix" reporting app is made for. Council only applies the rules. Let them inform the appropriate persons to see if they are finished with their netting and standards.
