‘A crash waiting to happen’

Police and Gisborne District Council are in consultation about the deteriorated state of a rural intersection where a two-car, high-speed crash occurred on December 29, resulting in multiple injuries.

It's not the only intersection where road marking especially is not visible. This is a widespread problem throughout our city. Although I don't hold the driver responsible, it would be pertinent to slow down if the potholes were an obvious problem.
