Another example of the "sticking plaster" approach to NZ roads by central government and its agents while billions of taxpayer dollars are spent on non-urgent projects.

How much has been spent on the hundreds of kilometres of Armco barriers unnecessarily installed throughout NZ? Don't even get me started on the associated traffic management costs or Streets for People nationwide.

If you're strapped for cash and your roof is leaking, do you buy a new car, build a new fence or fix the roof? Hmmmm, that's a tough one!
