The general election has started for real.

The organisation that many belong to says that rents won't go down and many will use it to buy more property.
That will cause house prices to go up again.
Pensioners will lose $50,000 income while waiting an extra two years to qualify.
Landlords have made enough, surely.
Why are these people being targeted for such a generous gift while others will lose the basics like school lunches, bus fares, period products?
Luxon says his party supports the government's healthy school lunches programme, but it must provide value for money. He says similar about public transport.
However, their coalition partner ACT says no to both of these and will also look at interest-free student loans.
Let's hope that their coalition agreement provides for these initiatives to continue as they do help with the cost of living and many rely on them.
