Cash coming for bridge clean-up: Transport Agency to provide capped funding of $1.6m

Gisborne District Council (GDC) has secured funding to clear away the remnants of eight bridges destroyed during Cyclone Gabrielle.

NZ  Transport Agency Waka Kotahi made funding with a capped value of $1.6 million available to remove old bridge infrastructure from the river, and council work is underway to ensure the clean-up of waterways and embankments.
