Gisborne District Council begins the most extensive three-year work plan in its history from today - the start of the council’s new financial year.
Councillors last week officially adopted the 2024-2027 Three Year Plan (3YP) and set total rates at 11.4% higher for the year.
Mayor Rehette Stoltz said they had listened to the community, who asked them to focus on the basics.
