Police have charged three people over the defacing of the rainbow crossing in Gladstone Road last Monday night and will seek to have the incident recognised as a “hate crime”.
Two men, aged 46 and 36, and a 45-year-old woman were charged with graffiti vandalism after the crossing was painted white.
A fourth suspect has been identified.
