Thanks Roger. I really enjoy your factual and detailed reports about our local weather. I was wondering if you think the Tonga eruption which sent a huge volume of water into space had something to do with our unusual rain events this year? According to this Sky News Australia report, it affected East coast of Australia:

If that is the case, I wonder how long this weather pattern can continue? Years perhaps to get rid of the excess water in our atmosphere?
