AUCKLAND to Wellington fundraising walker Mike Butler vows "I shall return" as he lies in a Gisborne Hospital bed with a broken ankle, felled by a pine cone.
Mr Butler has walked through Asia, Europe, South America and completed a 2300-kilometre walk through the South Island five years ago, with little more than a sprained ankle in India that he treated with aspirin — until Monday.
