Gisborne District Council is backing a proposal from Regional and Unitary Councils Aotearoa - Te Uru Kahika that seeks urgent government funding for flood protection work.

It is time for all political parties to face up. Please, Ministry for the Environment, you say: "Our work programme is focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to a changing climate."
