Yes it is very dire in the hospital currently and a stressful place to work as a nurse not only on the wards, but in other areas too. It is heartbreaking watching your former colleagues on the wards struggling when there are only two on shift when there are meant to be 5. Redeployed nurses though happy to help struggle as they are in unfamiliar areas, but also they have to go back to their own roles where their work has now piled up with no help to reduce it. It is a vicious cycle with no end in sight. The way it is going there will be not many of us left soon.
