Park golf course closed by council after storm damage

The storm last week destroyed a number of big trees on the Electrinet Gisborne Park golf course and it has been closed due to safety concerns until fallen trees, hanging branches and other debris are cleaned up.

The Electrinet Gisborne Park golf course has been closed by Gisborne District Council because of significant tree damage posing a high health and safety risk to the public. 

The closure affects all members of the public, including golfers, dog walkers and casual visitors.
