‘Perfect’ end to 40th Bay Bonanza

The big money in the Enterprise Cars  Autosure NZ Bay Bonanza fishing competition was shared at the end of what was described as a beautiful final day’s fishing on Sunday.

Around 640 anglers onboard 160 boats enjoyed what Gisborne-Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club President Roger Faber called a “perfect” day on the water.

Human activities everywhere are threatening the health of our marine environment.
The Bay Bonanza is cruel to the hunted fish victims, and I can guarantee none of the slaughtered on that long list died happily.
Fish feel pain and deserve protection. Everyone has a right to take fish in the tidal waters of all rivers, estuaries, and the territorial limits of the sea.
Also, an online check of Marine Humane Slaughter Act brought no results.
