Poariki Station on Burgess Road, Pehiri has almost come to a standstill for the first time in its 120 years.

The only access to the sheep and beef farm, a bridge across the Hangaroa River, was destroyed in Cyclone Gabrielle. Station owners Ian and Helen Burgess have spent the past year navigating the aftermath of Gabrielle.
