Memory lane . . . this tiny house brings back good memories for the members of Kiwi band Six60, who are wending their way down the North Island towards Tairāwhiti as part of their national Grassroots Tour 2024. The band are being accompanied on their 24-date tour by a tiny house replica of the 660 Castle Street flat in Dunedin “where it all began” and which inspired their name. The band bought the flat in 2021. The replica is being set up at Four Square stores at each city and town visited including Four Square Mangapapa in Gisborne, Four Square Tokomaru Bay and Four Square Ruatōria. Kiwi band Six60 are making their way across small-town New Zealand on their Grassroots Tour and that road will bring them to the East Coast early next week.
The band’s shows at Te Puka Tavern in Tokomaru Bay on Monday and War Memorial Theatre in Gisborne on Tuesday have been sold out.
