State highway recovery work in Tairāwhiti allocated $162m: Minister expects value for every dollar

State highway recovery projects in Tairāwhiti have been allocated $162 million of the $609m announced as North Island Weather Event funding in the Government’s 2024 Budget. 

A regional breakdown announced on Friday last week said $250m had been allocated to East Coast, but that included state highway work in Hawke’s Bay.
