Sunday wind incidents prompt Fenz call-outs

Gisborne firefighters were called out twice on Sunday to issues relating to the strong winds. 

They went to St David’s Church at the corner of De Lautour and Rutene roads after it was reported roofing iron was lifting. 

“There were just two or three sheets of iron involved flapping in the breeze, and we secured them,” a senior firefighter said.
