Trust Tairāwhiti will host a public presentation next week to share insights from the first stage of its City Centre Catalyst Initiatives Project.
A statement from Trust Tairāwhiti said the project aimed to identify catalyst initiatives that will help revitalise Gisborne’s city centre and lead to further development.
The project was led and funded by Trust Tairāwhiti, in partnership with Gisborne District Council and Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust.
“The project focuses on initiatives that align with existing plans and policies and can be progressed quickly by working with private and public land owners, building owners and developers,” the statement said.
“The first stage involved significant community engagement, including at the A&P Show, focused topic engagement sessions, and technical workshops with subject experts to explore strategic opportunities.”
