Rugby union, theatre company and school among NZCT recipients

The New Zealand Community Trust has announced around $150,000 in local grants as part of its latest funding round, with the biggest amount of $100,000 going to Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union. 

The union will receive the funding boost for accommodation costs, contract fees for a game development manager (senior and women), referee and club development manager, and game development manager salaries. 

Gisborne Trampoline Club has been given a $20,000 salary grant. 

Evolution Theatre Company Trust, the victim of multiple burglaries, will receive $11,5000 for equipment purchases. 

Makaraka School gets $7000 for playground costs. 

Squash Eastern get $7400 for a contractor working with clubs across Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay. 

Surf Life Saving NZ has received nearly $2400 towards the Eastern Region sport manager’s salary.
