Kayla Trowell kept up a family tradition when she won the New Zealand indoor bowls junior singles title in Auckland this month.
Trowell, 17, followed in the footsteps of elder brother Nathan, who won the event in 2021 and cousin Matthew Foster, the 2020 champion.
She was third-equal in the under-18 event last year, making the win a fitting farewell to her junior bowling career.
