When the youngsters from Tairāwhiti took the field at the home ground of NRL franchise the New Zealand Warriors, their opponents didn’t know where they were from.
They do now.
Mahaki Warriors and the Paikea Whalers went to Auckland last weekend to play curtain-raisers for the NRL game between the Warriors and the Redcliffe Dolphins.
