Super 8 tournament ‘eye-opening’: Boys’ High coach pleased by efforts against tough teams

They deserved more. That was coach Garrett Blair’s take on Gisborne Boys’ High School’s showing at the Super 8 football tournament in New Plymouth this month. 

“The results don’t match performance, purely because the boys played extremely well,” Blair said. 

“For a lot of the games we had more possession and were creating chances and doing all the right things.”
