HALLIWELL, Barbara (nee Willis). Barbara died peacefully at home on Saturday July 6, a victim of dementia for the past five-and-a-half years. Cherished wife, companion and best friend of Thiers for nearly 59 years, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jonathan and Lisa, and Brenda and Phil, loved nana of Ash, Josh, Aris, Zeke, Noah and Abi, loved sister of Ursula and Yvonne, a dedicated teacher and long-serving volunteer for Wellington Victim Support. Special thanks to Christina and her fellow carers whose support made it possible for Barbara to remain in her own home until the end.
